Obituary for Prof. Kazimierz Rzymski

Born on March 13, 1932 in the small town of Nowe Miasto Lubawskie, he was raised during the difficult times of war, hunger and human tragedy. His relentless desire to become a medical doctor and serve humanity succeeded in 1958 when he graduated from Poznań Academy of Medical Sciences (later Poznań University of Medical Sciences, PUMS). From that time on, he worked continuously, both professionally and scientifically. In 1962 he received the first national degree of post-graduate specialization in radiology; in 1965 – a second and final degree, while in 1968 he conducted a successful defence of his PhD thesis.
